Groovy! 1/19/03 - Pat's in the Flats has a brand-spankin' new website. Just opened yesterday. If you don't know Pat, she's a hardworking lady who runs a workin' man's bar in the part of the Flats that tourists don't go to. In the day, it's lunch, coffee, and an after-work beer. You Rock 1/14/03 - Arrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhh matey, thar back! The Pirates Who Carve Out Your Eyes and Piss in Your Eye Sockets are sailing back into port, after the heroic escape of Captain Long Schlong from his captors in Japan. Our source tells us "Upon his return I suspect that ye jolly band will regroup and again lay waste to the many local clubs of nor'eastern ohio...Avast mates, ARRRRRGH!" Keep a sharp eye turned to the deep waters, as we 'spect the Pirates will soon sail into the Flood.
Kiss Me 1/14/03 - C.D. Truth in the Studio Newz - 'Columbian drug Lord,' Fact of Life', 'No Retreat', 'Follow Me To Akron', 'My Friends are Doing Bad Things', 'Your Momma Found Out', 'Slip Inside', 'G-Whiz' are just some of the songs on the upcoming C.D. Truth release 'Chemmically Dependent'. It's almost done, look for Chemmically Dependent sometime in late spring, 2003. We're gonna try to get some pix of C.D. Truth in the studio, check back to see if I'm successful!
Love Me 1/14/03 - HEY BUFFALO! Don't miss the Lords of the Highway at the Cruise Inn in Buffalo, NY on Friday, 2/21/03. Molkie Cole & Paul Pope Fans, I'm sure you'll dig the Lords, they so totally rule! They are a rockabilly trio with a hot hot hot show. You ain't lived till you've seen Sugar on the bass. Just in! The Lords are also at Monty Krown's in Rochester, NY on Saturday, 2/22/03 with the Krypton 88's.

 

1/14/03 - The Mantis still needs your help. Sam is working every Saturday night to try to get things in order, if you wanna go help him. P.S. - He loves candy, especially chocolate.
UPDATE - The Mantis is looking as though some progress has been made. However, we didn't go into the bathroom.
1/01/03 - The Polkaholics aren't from NE Ohio, but I wish they were! These guys turn the polka world upside down! We just got their new CD, Polka Can't Die, and we are playing it repeatedly. These crazy Chicago boys will probably be coming our way sometime this spring - we'll post it here as soon as they let us know their plans.

1/08/03 - There was an article in the Friday Magazine of the Cleveland Plain Dealer on Ben and Lisa of Rock & Roll Purgatory on Friday, 1/3/03 about their Rocked & Loaded 2 CD Release Party! The were also mentioned in the Scene. Make sure you plan on picking up the Rocked & Loaded 2 CD at the show - it's a 2 CD set with over 50!!!!! bands for $15. rocked n loaded 2 cover

11/17/02 - Congratulations to NE Ohio's own Bass Boy for WINNING the Old Time Talent Contest at the Kent Folk Festival! Bass Boy won the opportunity to open for the main stage act!. He blew 'em away with his own Tater Box Chop. Way ta go, Bass Boy!!!!!!!
