“This is Not a Folk Song”

is one I have been playing for a long time. Amanda Stark and I were playing an open mic in Atlanta when Michael (I am sorry dude I really don’t remember your last name) and Flanzy came up to us to ask about the story. I told him it was true and he wanted to go out there and video tape it.

I cleared it with Frank and we went out. Upon seeing the graveyard we decided to turn it in to a short film. Frank was the obvious choice to play the part of “Frank.”

But on the day of the shoot Frank got sick – so my old college drinking buddy J. Mongo Nealer stepped in to take over. That is his truck “roadie” playing the part of Frank’s truck too. Michael plays the part of the flower salesman at the convenience store.

Phil and Angie are in the crowd scene and that is Mudcat playing slide guitar.

Amanda Stark (the other half of Stark Raving Chandler.) Is of course the singer. Michael Kapeckinck edited it.
